Crystals are gifts from Mother Earth that are mined, shaped, and polished, by man. No two crystals are the same. That means the piece that you choose, or that chooses you, is yours and yours alone. Talk about the most unique gift ever! Not only are they one of a kind they are also magical? That's the fun part. Getting to know your crystals. Discovering their magic. Many have pockets of rainbows, or inclusions of other minerals causing them to sparkle like glitter, some have phantoms of their shadow selves, it takes some time to really get to know your new crystal. I promise it is time well spent. So how exactly do you go about doing that? Well, hang out with them. Serious. Keep them near you during the day. I have numerous pieces on my desk. I have crystals in my bathroom, I have crystals on my bedside table. I take baths with them. I take them camping. I check them out in different light. Different angles. I meditate with them. Eventually you will begin to feel one way or another towards your crystals. You will begin to understand their frequency, or vibe, and use it for your benefit. Especially in todays world. It is so wonderful having these gems near on days you can't bear to look, let alone go, outside. You can use them to set certain intentions, or use them for gridding. You can use them as paper weights, and book ends, and plant companions. Carry them with you, in your pocket, or bra, put some magic in your step. When their energy feels drained or your intention met, clear them, and charge them. I use herb bundles to smoke cleanse my crystals before charging them under the full moon. Do whatever feels right! There really is no right or wrong way to this. The only thing I will caution is that not all crystals are water safe. So do your research. Overall crystals are beautiful sparkly rocks made by the earth to remind us that it is what is on the inside that counts!
