Imagine getting to see one of those stunning Arizona sunsets in person, paddleboarding (optional) with the wild Salt River horses, spending a day focusing on your mind, body, & soul with Yoga, Tea & Tarot, tapping into your creativity by making your own crystal Sun catcher, grounding yourself in the desert during golden hour & aligning your chakras with a floating crystal sound bath all at your own private desert resort on Quail mountain in East Mesa, Arizona.
Celebrate the end of Summer Arizona style. The Autumn Equinox is on Monday, September 22nd. We are gathering for the last weekend of Summer & embracing the Sun while we experience equal day & night hours. A time to align yourself & recharge at your own private desert resort. This retreat is centered around the magic that is the Sonoran desert, the energy of the cosmos, and connecting to the Earth during a time of celestial alignment of the Sun & Moon. The Virgo New Moon partial solar eclipse is the last day of the retreat. This is the perfect opportunity to learn to let go of unrealistic expectations (south node in Virgo) & connect with your wild spirit (north node in Pisces) under the desert Sun.
All of the details have been carefully thought out and planned with safety and comfort in mind. As soon as you arrive you can unwind and tap into the magic that is the Sonoran desert. For 3 nights and 4 days you will be asked to remain present, take care of your physical self, know your limitations, and allow the beauty and wildness of the southwest to nourish your soul.
Welcome to the Quail Mountain private desert resort in East Mesa, Arizona. We will have full use of this stunning 3400sqft custom home equipped with its own nature trail where you can watch those stunning Arizona sunsets from your own private mountainside. While not guaranteed animals you may encounter here are: bunnies, quail, roadrunners, javelina, coyotes, bobcats, snakes, gila monsters and more. The home is located 2 blocks south of Usery Mountain Regional park and the animals frequently wander into the neighborhoods. The home also has a pool, game room with a pool table and dart board, cornhole, a heated outdoor shower, and outdoor seating for 25 people. Reserve your room now with a $500 deposit and the balance is due 9/15.
When planning this retreat I prioritized sunsets, and allowing you ample time to experience the unmatched beauty that is Arizona. We are blessed to have a resort style home on the border of Usery Mountain and just a few miles from the Tonto National Forest and the Salt River where the horses and people run wild. You will get to see a true desert oasis on the outskirts of Mesa, Arizona. But it doesn’t stop there. You will have a full day of recharging our bodies with a 90 minute Yoga class led by Carolyn of Wild Girl Wellness. After you will be treated to my Tea & Tarot brunch where the Tarot will spill the tea while you sip it. Imagine dressing up for a magical tea party featuring fine China, Crystal goblets, flickering candles, crystals and delicious baked goods from Elysian Fields Bakery while you receive a 6 card Tarot reading by Michelle of Desert Moon Collective. You will also get to use your creativity and make your own diy crystal Sun catcher during this time to capture the last of the Suns rays before we begin to lose daylight that following Monday on the Autumn Equinox. We will have dinner then go for a sunset desert walk in Usery Mountain Regional Park where Casey Olson of CaseyOlsonDesigns.com will capture you in the stunning golden hour lighting in the desert. When we return home you will unwind from the weekend with a dual practitioner floating crystal sound bath. It’s fun in the Sun meets Practical Magic for 3 nights at an absolutely gorgeous private desert sanctuary. Scroll down to meet all of the hosts.

Paddleboarding the Salt River.
While I would love everybody to paddleboard, all activities during the retreat are optional. Carolyn from Wild Girl Wellness, who is your Yoga instructor on Saturday, will be joining us paddleboarding as an additional chaperone.
You will have the morning to yourself. We will depart for the Salt River at 9:30am. It is approximately a 15 minute drive to the top of the river where we will launch at Water Users, also known as stop 1. We will stretch as a group prior and you will receive paddleboarding instruction. We will be stopping for lunch at a secret spot approximately an hour and a half-2 hours after launching. We will have an hour, or longer if we choose, to eat and play in the water. Upon leaving we will paddle another 45 minutes to the next stop known as Sandy beach. Horses are often seen in this area around the corner from Mud Cliffs. We are planning on paddling to stop 5, Phon D Sutton. This will give you the best opportunity to see the most horses. We should be off the river by 4:30pm and back at the house by 5:00. Dinner will be catered BBQ at 6:00pm.

This retreat is open to any woman aged 27 or older who is looking to have a weekend of recharging and relaxing in the Arizona desert. A woman unafraid to embrace her natural wild side while connecting to the cosmos and trusting the divine.
If the retreat sells out there will be 5-6 people sleeping overnight at the house. This is dependent on if the master suite is booked as single or double occupancy. Your host, Michelle, will not be sleeping overnight at the house if all rooms are booked. She lives 4 blocks away and will be at the house every morning at 8am and will stay until everyone is settled for the evening as well as be available via cell phone overnight in case of emergencies.
No. If this retreat is just what you have been looking for but you are not comfortable paddleboarding the river you are more than welcome to still attend. The home has a true resort style backyard that is yours to use for the entirety of the stay. It also has a game room with a pool table, dartboard and is 2 blocks south from Usery Mountain Regional Park where there are numerous hiking trails rated for beginners as well as covered picnic tables and vault restrooms.
The weather in Arizona has been anything but typical. While rain is so needed it is unlikely. However, if it does rain due to a thunderstorm we cannot be on the water holding metal poles. In the event of thunderstorms I intend on having Carolyn lead us in a Yoga class at the home and we could still utilize the outdoor covered patio for relaxation and enjoying the intoxicating smell of desert rain.
